All dogs are cute...but these celeb pups are just as good-looking as their owners, if not more. There's nothing more endearing than learning that a person loves dogs, which makes these stars all the more interesting.
Amanda Seyfried
The Mean Girls actress rescued Finn, an Australian shepherd, when he was just a puppy and she was a single gal in her 20s. Now she’s 37, married, and a mom of two—and Finn celebrated his 14th birthday in September 2023. Seyfried is positively obsessed with Finn, and runs an IG account for the pooch.

Tom Holland
Few Hollywood actors are as dedicated to their dog—and to dogs in general—as Tom Holland. The Spider-Man: Homecoming star even dresses his dog Tessa, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, up as the comic book character who made him famous.

Britney Spears
Shortly after the singer’s divorce from ex-husband Sam Asghari, she adopted Snow, a tiny white pup. Snow joins Spears’ other dogs, an Australian shepherd named Sawyer, a Yorkie named Hannah, and a Maltese, Lulu.
Tom Hardy
All the way back in 2015, a Vanity Fair writer decided to look into every time Tom Hardy had even mentioned dogs—and found that they actually had enough material to publish an entire oral history. The Venom actor simply won’t shut up about his love for dogs.
Sadly, Hardy’s dog Woody, who occasionally accompanied the actor to red carpet events, passed away in 2017—but since then, Hardy has adopted Blue, an incredibly cute French bulldog.
Katy Perry
The “Birthday” singer loves dogs so much that she has not just one, but two teacup poodles, named Nugget and Butters. Nugget has a career of her own—not only did she appear in Perry’s video for “Small Talk,” she also starred in an ad for Citi.
Oprah Winfrey
The talk show icon is a living legend—but should the worst happen, her dogs are set for life. Winfey has a $30 million trust fund set up for her dogs, to take care of them should she pass on. She has a cocker spaniel named Sadie and two springer spaniels named Sunny and Lauren.
Jake Gyllenhaal
Jake Gyllenhaal is truly dedicated to his German Shepherd Atticus Finch. How dedicated? Well, after he had the dog neutered, he got him prosthetic testicles, AKA “neuticles”. According to the product’s website, they can help the dog "retain its natural look and self-esteem.” Sure!
Glen Powell
Shortly after filming Twisters, Glen Powell went out and treated himself for his hard work on the movie—by getting a new best friend, Brisket. He adopted the tiny, adorable terrier-poodle mix from LA rescue the Labelle Foundation in July of 2023.

Speaking of A Star Is Born, this star of the 1976 version is incredibly attached to her Coton de Tulear dogs—so much so that when her pet Samantha passed on, Streisand had cells taken from Samantha’s mouth and stomach so that she could have the dog cloned.
Streisand now has three dogs, two of whom were cloned from Samantha’s cells.
Chris Evans
The MCU headliner regularly features his rescue dog, Dodger, in his social media posts. He adopted the pooch in 2016 after visiting a rescue and falling in love with the little guy.
Sandra Bullock
After losing her two dogs, Poppy and Ruby, in quick succession, the Miss Congeniality actress adopted a two-year-old poodle from a rescue in 2019 to mend her broken heart.
Bradley Cooper
When Cooper directed A Star Is Born in 2018, he pulled some strings to get someone very close to him cast—Charlie, his labradoodle. Charlie appeared in several important scenes in the film and was lauded for his performance.

It took Hilary Duff a while to find her happy ending after her 2016 divorce from Mike Comrie, but it looks like she’s finally there. Not only has she remarried to musician Matthew Koma, they’ve had three daughters together and also adopted a dog, Lucy, from Love Leo Rescue in Santa Monica.

Though he tried to address them himself, he ultimately chose a route that was best for everyone involving, rehoming Wacha with dear friends that the dog already knew well—and taking the time to visit when he can.

In 2019, before the pandemic puppy craze of 2020, Nicole Kidman adopted her poodle, Julian. He’s not just her first puppy, he’s actually her first dog, and when the actress got him, she said it was a moment that she’d waited her whole life for.

It speaks a lot to a person’s good will when they adopt a senior dog—and McPhee adopted her chihuahua, Wilma, when the dog was 12. As McPhee shared, she only ever expected Wilma to live a year or two, but she kept on going. Sadly, Wilma passed away in 2022.

The Princess of Wales has been a dog lover since the very beginning, as they’ve always been a part of the Middleton family. Her brother James first gifted she and William an English Cocker Spaniel pup named Lupo, who was born to Kate’s mom’s dog, in 2011 as a wedding present.
As Lupo got on in years, he gave them another puppy, though Lupo sadly passed on in 2020.

There are good girls, and then there’s Jennifer Garner’s dog Birdie. The golden retriever first came into the Garner family’s life when Jen’s daughter Violet turned 10. Birdie recently turned 8 and has worked as a therapy dog for the Children’s Hospital LA.
