Celebrities Who Are Secret Nerds

Celebs Who Are Secret Nerds

Celebrities are usually regarded as icons of all things cool—the exact opposite of a nerd. But it turns out that some of the biggest names in Hollywood nerd out over the same things as the rest of us, like comic books, Star Wars, and Dungeons and Dragons. And some famous folks have more even more bizarre obsessions

Henry Cavill

While Henry Cavill often receives acclaim not just for his acting skills but also his impeccable good looks, the hunky actor is also one of the world's nerdiest celebrities. Cavill was well-prepared for his role as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's The Witcher, having read the books and played the games the show is based upon. And, during lockdown, he proved he was tech savvy when he built his own gaming PC.

But Cavill had some serious nerd cred well before that. If the story is to be believed, when Zack Snyder called to offer Cavill his breakthrough role in Man of Steel, Cavill didn't answer the phone—because he too busy was playing World of Warcraft.
