Short, But Not Always Sweet
Some marriages last forever. These didn't. Some marriages, even if they eventually crash and burn, last for years—but only two couples on our list even made it to their first anniversary.
Britney Spears And Sam Asghari: 414 Days
They'd been dating for about five years when Spears and Asghari got engaged in 2021. They were married on June 9, 2022 and 414 days later it was over. Supposedly, the final straw was a big fight they had, in which Asghari accused Spears of cheating.
Sophia Bush And Grant Hughe: 381 Days
Bush and Hughe were engaged for a year and their marriage barely lasted longer than that. 16 days after their anniversary, they filed for divorce.

Corey Bohan And Audrina Patridge: 319 Days
Corey Bohan and Audrina Patridge started dating in 2008 (some reports have it starting in 2006) and fans of The Hills got to know them from their appearances on the show. They took their time getting married, only tying the knot in 2016. But things went downhill fast from there.

11 months later, Patridge was filing for a restraining order against Bohan. The order was granted, forcing Bohan to stay away from both his ex-wife and their child (of whom Patridge got full custody). The divorce was finalized in 2018.

Jennifer Lopez And Ojani Noa: 313 Days
She wasn't even J.Lo yet back in 1997 when her and Noa said their “I dos”. But less than a year later, they were saying their “I don'ts”. Or at least Lopez was.
Jennifer Lopez And Ojani Noa: 313 Days
It was Lopez who filed for divorce. Noa would later attempt to release video footage of Lopez that was allegedly of the private and intimate variety. Legal battles and restraining orders ensued.
Elisabeth Moss And Fred Armisen: 312 Days
In October of 2008, Elisabeth Moss made a cameo appearance on an episode of Saturday Night Live hosted by her Mad Men co-star Jon Hamm. That's when she met Fred Armisen. The couple got married a year later and divorced a year after that. Moss has called the marriage "awful and horrible". For his part, Armisen has admitted to being "a terrible husband".

Jim Carrey And Lauren Holly: 309 Days
These two met on the set of Dumb and Dumber and quickly started dating. In September of 1996, they were married in Malibu, and while we're saying there's a chance this marriage could've lasted a long time... it didn't. They filed for divorce in July of the following year.

Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth: 240 Days
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth first thought about getting married in 2012, but called off the engagement before tying the knot. Then, three years later, in 2015, they got back together and decided to try again.
Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth: 240 Days
This time, they successfully walked down the aisle, two days before Christmas in 2018. But by the following August, it was divorce time. Neither party made any public comments about the reason for the split.

Jennifer Lopez And Cris Judd: 218 Days
In 2001, less than four years after her short marriage to Ojani Noa had ended—and just a few months after her breakup with P. Diddy—Jennifer Lopez married one of her backup dancers, Cris Judd. 218 days later, the couple cited the classic "irreconcilable differences", and filed for divorce.
Tom D'Agostino And Luann De Lessep: 216 Days
If you were watching The Real Housewives of New York City in the mid-2010s, then you're no doubt quite familiar with this marriage and much of the tension and arguing that occurred for the 216 days they were wed to each other.

Colton Haynes And Jeff Leatham: 193 Days
Arrow and Teen Wolf actor Colton Haynes married world-renowned floral designer Jeff Leatham in October of 2017. The wedding was notable for being officiated by Kris Jenner and for, not surprisingly, the amazing floral arrangements.

But Jenner and the beautiful flowers weren't enough to guarantee this pairing a long-lasting marriage—unless you consider six months a long marriage.

Sophia Bush And Chad Michael Murray: 163 Days
Bush's 381-day marriage to Grant Hughe in 2022 must've seemed like an eternity compared to the 163 days she was married to her One Tree Hill co-star in 2005. It was 163 days that ended with Bush actually trying to have the marriage annulled, citing "fraud". The annulment was denied, but the couple's divorce was eventually finalized in December of 2006.
Tom Green And Drew Barrymore: 163 Days
When Drew Barrymore had Tom Green on her daytime talk show back in 2021, it was the first time they'd seen each other in person, face-to-face in almost 20 years. It was 20 years prior that the couple—having met on the set of Charlie's Angels—got married and divorced all within 163 days.

Carmen Electra And Dennis Rodman: 129 Days
Carmen Electra and Dennis Rodman's relationship was a wild ride that made headlines. Every Chicago Bulls fan (and everyone who watched The Last Dance) remembers the time in 1998, during the NBA Finals, when Rodman just took off to Las Vegas to party with Electra for two days. As for the marriage...

Carmen Electra And Dennis Rodman: 129 Days
Rodman put a ring on it in November of 1998 and nine days later, it almost ended when they both decided to get an annulment. However, they reconciled, and the marriage went on for another 120 days before they divorced.

Kenny Chesney And Renee Zellweger: 128 Days
Turns out not all marriages between actresses and country singers last for decades like Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney only managed about four months back in 2005 before filing for an annulment.
Bradley Cooper And Jennifer Esposito: 122 Days
In December of 2006, Cooper and Esposito were in love and saying "I do". On May 1st, 2007, Esposito filed for divorce. Another case of "irreconcilable differences".
Pamela Anderson And Kid Rock: 122 Days
Pam Anderson and Kid Rock were on-again, off-again for five years from 2001 to 2006. They even got engaged back in 2002 but they never made it to the chapel that time. A few years later, they rekindled the romance.

Pamela Anderson And Kid Rock: 122 Days
In 2006, they again got engaged and this time they went all the way and got married on a yacht in St. Tropez. 122 days later, the couple divorced—with many claiming that her appearance in the movie Borat angered Rock and was the catalyst to the end of the relationship.

Amelia Warner And Colin Farrell: 121 Days
Why did Amelia Warner and Colin Farrell's marriage in 2001 barely last four months? "Too fast, too young," said Farrell.

Lisa Marie Presley And Nicolas Cage: 107
About three and a half months. That's how long Lisa Marie Presley and Nicolas Cage were married for, back in 2002. "I'm sad about this," said Presley, "but we shouldn't have been married in the first place. It was a big mistake".

Kris Humphries And Kim Kardashian: 72 Days
It was almost impossible to be alive in 2011 and not know about this one. Kim Kardashian's marriage to Kris Humphries was headline tabloid news and big time reality television on Kardashian's show. However, according to the bride, she knew it was all a mistake while on her honeymoon in Italy.
Pam Anderson And Rick Salomon: 68 Days
Talk about on-again, off-again! In 2007, Pamela Anderson was performing as a magician's assistant in the Hans Klok's The Beauty of Magic shows at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. On October 6, 2007—during her break between the 7pm and 10pm shows—she married Rick Salomon. Yes, the same Rick Salomon from the infamous Paris Hilton 1 Night in Paris "movie". Within 10 weeks, there were divorce papers filed. But it wasn't over yet...

Pam Anderson And Rick Salomon: 68 Days
A couple days after that filing, the couple were seen out together and Anderson announced that they were making up. However, two weeks later, papers filed with the courts indicated that the divorce was back on. Two months later, Anderson, citing "fraud", asked for an annulment. Salomon did the same a month after that and the annulment went through on March 24, 2008. But it wasn't over yet...

Pam Anderson And Rick Salomon: 68 Days
Six years later, in January of 2014, Anderson and Salomon got married again. This one lasted longer than the first time. But six months later, it all came crashing down—with Anderson filing for divorce and Salomon going the annulment "fraud" route once again.
Jeremy Thomas And Drew Barrymore: 19 Days
Bar owner Jeremy Thomas and Drew Barrymore hadn't been dating for very long when one day, a friend at the bar suggested the couple tie the knot. So, they did, right there. It was March 20, 1994. Speaking to People magazine soon after, Barrymore was quoted as saying, "Everything about us is like fate". However, years later, in 2019, Barrymore admitted that wasn't the case: "I realized my mistake the day I married him".

Jeremy Thomas And Drew Barrymore: 19 Days
Barrymore would go on to call Thomas "the biggest schmuck" she ever met, saying that the marriage was just a "green card situation". Some say the marriage ended after 39 days while others report it as 19, but either way, she let Thomas know it was over via a phone call. He later recalled: "I got a phone call from her in Hawaii! She'd gone off on our honeymoon without me".
Mario Lopez And Ali Landry: 18 Days
Mario Lopez and Ali Landry were together for six years, but only married for two weeks. Landry filed for an annulment soon after the couple tied the knot in Mexico, following reports of infidelity by Lopez. They're claims he actually cops to in his memoir: "I got inebriated and a little too friendly with a young lady...When it was time to return home, lightning hit me with the truth: I wasn't in love. But I walked down the aisle. Ali was hurt and angry, rightfully so".

Tracey Edmonds And Eddie Murphy: 14 Days
Okay, so technically this one doesn't count. Since the couple were married in Bora Bora but hadn't got a marriage license from the US, the ceremony had no legal standing. This definitely made things easier two weeks later, when they decided to break up.
Nicolas Cage And Erika Koike: 4 Days
Cage married makeup artist Koike in Las Vegas on March 23, 2019. On the 27th, he filed for an annulment. According to court documents, Cage cited the fact that the couple was intoxicated at the ceremony as well as referencing Koike's criminal history as reasons for the desired annulment.

Britney Spears And Jason Alexander: 55 Hours
And here it is: the shortest celebrity marriage of all time. On January 3, 2004, after a night of partying, childhood friends Jason Alexander (not the actor from Seinfeld) and Britney Spears went down to the famous A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas and got married. According to the chapel owner, Charlotte Richards, "They appeared to be extremely happy. They were laughing, but crying, too, during the ceremony. I thought it was a marriage that would last forever". It didn't even last 56 hours.

Britney Spears And Jason Alexander: 55 Hours
Once Spears' team learned of the nuptials, they went into immediate clean up mode and set forth getting the marriage annulled. Spears, they said, "lacked understanding of her actions to the extent that she was incapable of agreeing to the marriage". For her part, the "Princess of Pop" has called those 55 hours "me being silly, being rebellious".
