Every week since 2013, Billboard has put out a weekly list of the most streamed songs in the United States. So, allow us to take you back through 2024 week by week and see what everyone was listening to...were you?
January 6, 2024: "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree"

Weekly Streams: 57.3 Million
Why was this 1958 Christmas song the most streamed song in the country two weeks after Christmas? Well, Brenda Lee herself released a music video for the song in November of 2023, which gave it new life and sent it to the top of both the Billboard Hot 100 and streaming charts in December. January 6, 2024 was actually the song's fifth week in a row at number one here.

The song had also topped the streaming charts for a couple weeks at the end of November and the beginning of December of 2023.

After taking a week off, Harlow made his way back to the top of the streaming charts.
February 10, 2024: "Hiss"

The attention-grabbing, critically acclaimed track got in some good disses at a number of folks on its way to the top of the charts. It was also her first Hot 100 number-one song as a solo artist.
February 17, 2024: "Beautiful Things"

Boone made a mark with the debut single off of his debut album.
February 24, 2024: "Carnival"
Artist: Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign featuring Rich the Kid and Playboi Carti

The song was a single released off of the debut album from the superduo rap group ¥$ (Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign).
March 2, 2024: "Texas Hold 'Em"
Artist: Beyoncé
Weekly Streams: 29 Million
Beyonce went country and people went crazy for it.
March 9, 2024: "Carnival"
Artist: Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign featuring Rich the Kid and Playboi Carti
Weekly Streams: 32.2 Million
After a week obsessing over Beyonce, people went back to streaming Kanye and Ty Dolla.
March 16, 2024: "Carnival"

Not only is this their third week at number one—33.7 million streams is more than they did the previous two weeks they had spent on top.

As much as folks liked Grande's first single off of her Eternal Sunshine album...they liked the second single even more. Not only did it get 32.6 million streams this week, but it....

April 6, 2024: "Like That"

The first song to get close to the "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" streaming numbers was "Like That"—which features a Kendrick Lamar verse dissing Drake as his first response to a previous track from the Canadian rapper.

April 13, 2024: "Like That"

The song also saw the top of the Billboard Hot 100, Global 200, and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts all at the same time.

And there it was again for a third week in a row.
April 27, 2024: "Too Sweet"

Future, Metro, and Kendrick were knocked out of the top spot by Hozier, who also topped the Billboard Hot 100 with the song. That made him the first Irish act to top the Hot 100 since Sinéad O'Connor did it in 1990 with "Nothing Compares 2 U".
May 4, 2024: "Fortnight"

If you were wondering how we went this far into the year without seeing Taylor Swift at number one...the answer is because her new album, The Tortured Poets Department didn't come out till now. And not only did Swift's first single from the new album stream right to number one—it also did a number (76.2 million) that was the second highest we'd see all year.
May 11, 2024: "Million Dollar Baby"

Weekly Streams: 38 Million
The song also became the longest running number-one song on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 chart—where it stayed for 10 straight weeks.
May 18, 2024: "Not Like Us"
Artist: Kendrick Lamar
Weekly Streams: 70 Million
Easily one of the greatest diss tracks of all time—in most people's minds, Not Like Us cemented Lamar's victory in the Kendrick/Drake feud. And it got a whole lotta streams.
May 25, 2024: "I Had Some Help"
Artist: Post Malone featuring Morgan Wallen
Weekly Streams: 76.4 Million
Post Malone had seen the second highest weekly streams with his feature on the Taylor Swift track a few weeks earlier—then with his own song, "I Had Some Help", he got the highest streaming week of the year.
June 1, 2024: "Not Like Us"

People loved "I Had Some Help", but after a huge week streaming Post Malone, they went back to listening to Kendrick Lamar dissing Drake.

Proving that he's still got it, 12 albums and almost 30 years after bursting on the scene, Eminem saw the top of the streaming charts as well as the top of the Billboard Global 200, and reached number one in Australia, Austria, Canada, Iceland, Latvia, Luxembourg, Morocco, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
June 22, 2024: "Please Please Please"

"Please Please Please" was also Carpenter's first ever number one on the Hot 100 and was nominated for Song of the Year at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.

The streaming numbers even went up a little in the song's second week at the top.
July 6, 2024: "Not Like Us"

Later in November 2024, Drake would file a petition against Universal Music Group (UMG) and Spotify—claiming that they had artificially inflated the popularity of "Not Like Us" to "deceive consumers into believing the song was more popular than it was in reality".

Weekly Streams: 45.8 Million
The streaming numbers are impressive, but Shaboozey's biggest accomplishment with "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" was tying the record for most weeks at number one on the Hot 100 chart. The song's 19 weeks on top equaled the number done by "Old Town Road".

At one point, Carpenter had "Taste" sitting at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, with "Please Please Please" at number three and "Espresso" at number four.

This track from the Chromakopia album also made it to the top of the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
November 16, 2024: "Sticky"
Artist: Tyler, the Creator featuring GloRilla, Sexyy Red and Lil Wayne
Weekly Streams: 20.9 Million
Tyler, the Creator was back for a second week in a row—with a different song from his Chromakopia album.
November 23, 2024: "That's So True"

It probably didn't hurt that this song (the first single from the deluxe version of her second album) came out right around the time Abrams was the opening act on Taylor Swift's Eras Tour.

Not only did Lamar make it back to the top of the charts with another song—"Squabble Up" was the first song to hit 50+ million weekly streams since Lamar hit that number back on July 20th.
December 14, 2024: "All I Want For Christmas Is You"

And as is the case pretty much every year around Christmas time—Mariah Carey tops the charts with her rendition of "All I Want for Christmas Is You".

This song is the gift that keeps on giving for Carey.
