Yay Or Nay
There are few things more nerve-racking than waiting to know if one of your favorite shows has been renewed or not. Okay, there are a lot of things more nerve-racking than that. But that's the one we're here to talk about.
Just a note: Whether a show is canceled or ending of its own volition we will mark it "canceled"—because the fact that it isn't coming back is the most important part, right? Also, some of these cancelations/renewals may have been announced prior to 2024, but we've added them here anyway just in case you missed the earlier announcement.
Canceled: Kaos (Netflix)
The mythological black comedy starring Jeff Goldblum as Zeus spent almost a month in Netflix's top 10. But it wasn't enough and the series was recently canceled after just one season.

Most fans of the Sex and the City sequel series are probably well aware of this, but just in case you missed the announcement, And Just Like That... is coming back for season 3—which is set to drop in 2025.

Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly star in this interesting sci-fi series on Apple TV+ about a physicist who builds a machine that allows him to explore alternate versions of his existence. Canceled: Bupkis (Peacock)
Prior to March of 2024, this comedy-drama series created by Pete Davidson would've found itself in the "renewed" column, because Peacock renewed the series for a second season. However, in March of this year it was Davidson who announced he had decided not to continue the series.
Renewed: Fallout (Prime Video)
This great post-apocalyptic drama, based on the popular Fallout video game franchise, was a hit for the Prime Video streamer. The show has been praised by critics and is Prime Video's second most-watched series ever (only behind The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power). Makes sense that they ordered a second season within a month of the season 1 premier.
Canceled: Good Omens (Prime Video)
The good omen for this fantasy-comedy series created by Neil Gaiman is that it was renewed for a third season at the end of 2023. However, whenever it airs, it will be the final season of the series.

Renewed: The Morning Show (Apple TV+)
The Morning Show was one of the first original shows on the streamer when Apple TV+ launched—and it's still going strong. So strong, in fact, that even before season 3 premiered back in September 2023, they had already announced the show's renewal for a fourth and fifth season.
Canceled: My Lady Jane (Prime Video)
This fun reimagining of the life of Lady Jane Grey was canceled after one season. Even a petition from George RR Martin wasn't enough to save this series.
Renewed: Presumed Innocent (Apple TV+)
You might've presumed that this Jake Gyllenhaal legal thriller would be renewed—but now you know for sure.
Canceled: Pretty Little Liars (MAX)
No lie. The pretty little truth is that MAX's foray into the Pretty Little Liars-verse was canceled after two seasons.
Renewed: Reacher (Prime Video)

Canceled: Tokyo Vice (MAX)

Renewed: 3 Body Problem (Netflix)
This is the first television show created by David Benioff and DB Weiss since the end of their last series, Game of Thrones. The pair, along with Alexander Woo, dropped 3 Body Problem on Netflix in March of 2024 and in May, the series was renewed for a second and third season.

In March of 2024, Prime Video announced that they would be uploading a fourth season of this science fiction comedy drama at some point. However, they also announced that said fourth season would be the show's last.
Renewed: Palm Royale (Apple TV+)
While critics didn't really enjoy the first season of Kristen Wiig's period dramedy, audiences gave it a 68% on Rotten Tomatoes and, most importantly, Apple gave it an order for a second season.
Canceled: Our Flag Means Death (MAX)
The period pirate comedy was told to walk the plank after its second season.
Renewed: Only Murders In The Building (Hulu)
In September of 2024—before the fourth season was over—Only Murders in the Building had already been renewed for a fifth.

In development since 2013, the Halo television series finally premiered in 2022—and before the first episode even aired, it had been renewed for a second season. Unfortunately for fans of the show, in July of 2024—a few months after the last episode of season 2 dropped—the series was canceled.
Renewed: Hijack (Apple TV+)
The Idris Elba-led thriller series began filming season 2 in June of 2024.

The supernatural drama moved from CBS to Paramount+ for its second season and remained there for its third and fourth seasons as well—the latter of which premiered in May of 2024 and was announced as the series' final season.
Renewed: The Devil's Hour (Prime Video)
Given that it's been two years since the first season of The Devil's Hour premiered on Prime Video, we would just like to remind fans that it was also two years ago that the show was renewed for at least two more seasons.
Canceled: The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu)
Don't freak out. There is a sixth season coming in 2025. But that will be the end of this excellent series.
Renewed: Mythic Quest (Apple TV+)
Here's another show that got renewed so long ago we wanted to remind you of that fact. Canceled: The Acolyte (Disney+)
Yet another Star Wars series on Disney+—this one had fans divided and suffered from a review bombing campaign and was labeled as "woke" by the conservative media. There were also reports of the series going over budget. Whatever the reason, The Acolyte will not be coming back for a second season.
Renewed: Slow Horses (Apple TV+)
The fourth season of this quality spy thriller just premiered in September of 2024—but all the way back in January, Slow Horses got its fifth season renewal notice.
Canceled: Andor (Disney+)

Renewed: The Bear (Hulu)
With 21 Emmy wins to its name, this brilliant dramedy series is one of the best things television has produced this decade—and it should continue to be whenever season 4 finally drops.
